Behind the paintings
Carol grew up around art. Her mother was an artist and art teacher, so making things was part of her everyday life.
She paints what she sees—or what she feels. Flowers from her garden, a place visited on vacation, a quiet stretch of woods. Sometimes she imagines what might be happening when we aren’t looking: a bear greeting bees, or butterflies joining a tea party.
Not every painting needs a story. Some are simply flowers from her imagination, painted for the pleasure of it.
Bear & Crane Studio is a home for that work. A place to look, to find something you connect with, and perhaps to find a painting for your home.
